Bullying-Free NZ Week 2021

“He kōtuinga mahi iti, he hua pai-ā rau: Small ripples create big waves”

On this page:

If everybody says something, we can change everything

When the whole school community, students, staff and whānau work together to address bullying and support wellbeing, positive, ongoing change happens.

Bullying-Free NZ Week took place from Monday 17 May to Friday 21 May

This year’s theme was He Kōtuinga mahi iti, he hua pai-ā rau - Small ripples create big waves. The small actions we take to help prevent bullying will together create a wave of change.

Schools and whānau can empower students to take the lead

Bullying-prevention approaches are more effective with student involvement. Empower students to be part of the solution.

We've worked with Sticks 'n Stones, a bullying-prevention organisation, to produce action packs for primary school and high school students.

The packs are created by students, for students. Each pack has ideas and activities on how to help prevent bullying.
